Taa for all the 1725 distinguishing methods... seems the dip stick one is
the nice and easy one. Looks like I definitely have a 1725 in one of my
super minxes. Original motor would have been a 1592, but someone has
replaced it with a 1725 from a 68 hillman hunter, painted it black, and must
have retro fitted the old cam, oil pump etc, cause it's got the original
1592cc cast head iron on it. I had checked it from the serial no, but it was
a bit hard to read so wasn't quite sure.
Taa again guys, 12 years of rootes ownership, and I never knew this handy
