I have been playing phone tag with a guy near Tuscaloosa who has a
couple of old Sunbeams that he is wanting to clear off his property,
but doesn't want to see them go to the junkyard/crusher. His email
states that he doesn't know exactly what kind of cars they are. He
also says the cars are in pretty bad shape but have many salvagable
parts. He is sending me pictures. Anyone who is travelling through
Alabama on their way to/from the SOS Spring Thing might want to stop
by and have a look.
I have to miss the Spring Thing this year but I'll be attending the
Birmingham Sports Car Club show at Tannahill State Park on May 13.
Northport is only about 35-40 miles from the state park, so after the
show I'm going to go see the old Sunbeams and will able to post more
about them.
The guy's name is Kenneth Phillips, singingfir(at)aol.com or
205-339-2551.
