Paul,
The "Motion Bearing" shop, here in Dayton, usually gives loose ball
bearings to me for free. By the way, they also sell the front wheel hub
bearings which are the small outer bearing (very, very common
taper-roller used on all boat trailers and VWs) and the larger inner
bearing (a little harder to stock, but many available).
