Whoooa. If you are talking about the REAR bumpers there is another part
you must have. It's a "thick" washer, or more like a short tube. It fits
in the holes in the rear, then the wavy flat metal brackets rest on those
washers, not your nice sheet metal. I've seen Alpines that have had those
tubes lost and then someone simply bolts straight to the body, crushing the
body down to where the frame is. So, I guess if that's already been done
to your car, you've got nothing to lose : (
The front bumpers do not have these tubes because the brackets mount
straight to the frame horns.
