After many hours of research, I will soon be announcing a direct
replacement valve guide available thru me for Rootes heads, made from modern
silicon-aluminum-bronze, and it will accept a modern valve stem seal as well.
The modern metalurgy will make them run as long or longer than cast iron.
Budd Bennion (Husky) and Donn Anderson (Rapier) [cast iron heads] and Rob
carpenter [aluminum head] are currently running prototypes. So far,
everything is perfect.
