I recently paid a visit to my local "Car Quest" auto parts dealer and by chance, asked if he could get a Starter (rebuilt) for my Sunbeam. He looked it up and to my surprise, he said yes.
After finding the price would be cheaper than SS even without the added shipping, I said yes.
I was a little worried the starter would be some kind of Jap off breed, but as it turned out, this was a nice rebuilt in the Lucas body and all !!
For whatever it may be worth.
