Brake Fluid

I need to treat an area on my Imp where it is prone to brake fluid
leaking. A fellow Rootes collector told me to treat the area with
Plasti-Kote which is comonly used to dip tool handles for better
gripping. The can says it is acid proof which makes me think it
certainly should be oblivious to brake fluid. Any comments? Brent
