You said it has reinforcing ribs? If they are reather profound, like an
Austin Healey Sprite ribcage gearbox, then it is from a Series 6 Minx. I did
not know anything was dimentionally different with them, except they will not
fit in earlier Audax cars like a Series 2 Husky: the ribs interfere with the
junction between the firewall and the transmission tunnel. I have forwarded
your question to the Hillman list.
