I previously copied an e-mail to the group from Deryck of the SAOC looking
to remanufacture some rubber weatherstrips for the Series II. He got some
people saying they wanted to buy some, but nobody offered to help him find
a good condition one to use to make a mold from. So, I'm sending it again
to see if anyone can help him. Deryck is also getting this e-mail. So,
you can e-mail him directly if you can help.
Dear Alpine owner
The Sunbeam Alpine Owners Club wishes to remake some rubber weatherstrips
for the Series II. These fit in the channel on the windshield upright
and
seal against the door pillar.
The part numbers are 2212427 (right hand)
2212427 (left hand)
The club needs some perfect or near perfect originals to use as masters
and it would appear that none can be found in the UK. If you can help
please contact me. If not please forward this email to every other
Alpine
owner you know in any country. Eventually we should find some.
