I have not experienced this at all with the kits that I buy. I have seen
bad rubber parts in NOS slaves and MCs that I have bought. If one has
bought an old NOS part, I would definitely rebuild it. Don't forget to
use the Lockheed red, rubberlube grease on the rubber. Victoria British
has this stuff. Buy the way, I can rebuild the slave and MC for $55 plus
shipping. As a plus, all the parts are bead blasted to remove the rust
and corrosion.
