Story: This car still has just over 30,000 miles on it
(didn't drive it much after she started having us kids) and still has
the license plate frames from the dealer she bought it from (Rambo
Motors, Portland, OR). In fact, the warranty forms from Standard
Motors are still in the glove box, she never filled them out or sent
them in.

Story: I purchased my
TR3A brand new in March 1961 here in Sydney Australia for 1,497
Australian Pounds (about 800 UK pounds). The car was manufactured in
December 1960 and shipped to Australia. It is one of the last TR3As sold
in Sydney. The car has been registered since purchase and has been used
continuously. (I completed a rolling rebuild in the early 80s with the
car off the road for short periods). I have kept the car in original
condition and it is a very good reference point for anybody who is
rebuilding a TR3A. It is British Racing Green with red interior and white
soft top. The car is fitted with overdrive and 60 spoke wire wheels.

Story:
My dad bought my car new in 1960. It's a 1960 TR3a. The original color was
baby blue, ( the current color). He put over 400,000 miles before the 1st
complete rebuild. He kept it together with bubble gum and chicken wire. When
it was first rebuilt the engine had 400,023 original miles. If he had it
rebuilt, I didn't know. He may have had it rebuilt. The engine has been
rebuilt at least once, back in 1975. The car had a total rebuild. (frame up),
at that time. When I had it restored in 1989, I had everything rebuilt except
the engine. I presently belong to the Nashville British Car Club. I had a
1958 TR3 when I went to college. I sold the car for $200 back in 1980. Sure
wish I had the parts now. I won't show the car this year. It should be in the
Smoky Mountain Show in 1998. The last time i entered this show I won 1st
place in the MG class. They had my car registered in the wrong class. Could
have been my fault, could have been theirs.
