I also saw the solenoids in the grainger catalog. Four soleniods at $30 a
piece would total $120. Add $60 for the regulator, filter/dryer, and air
line. Add $160 for the Thomas compressor.
Drill a hole in the rear bumper to create an air tank. Now you have most
everything needed for an air door upgrade for under $300! Do you think we
could request that the vendors start stocking the solenoids and Thomas
compressors?
Also, I was wondering if anyone could tell me how Stan Fransen is doing.
Last I heard, he was really ill, and was trying to sell the Bricklin shop in
Chino. What is to become of the west coast's only Bricklin service center?
Is there anyone out there who might consider taking over the shop?
I also forgot to ask about the muffler on my '75.
1: Is a true dual exhaust(dual muffler) a good idea?
2: Kim mentioned a crossover kit. Is this the thing that makes the exhaust
pipes form an "X" between the headers and the mufflers?
3: Which is better- a pair of 3"/4" exhaust tips or smaller dual quad tips
similar to what Rick Hayes has on his car?
4: How will different exhaust setups change the "sound" my car will make? I
want to stay close to the stock sound, even if the exhuast parts are not
stock.
