I don't know whether I have an unusual condition on my distributor or not.
The wear pattern I noticed is on the underside of the breaker plate. Where
the three larger ball bearings are. Seems notchy as described, and have been
experiencing a quirky high idle condition and a backfire when cold. Car has
bee "de-smogged" including changing the advance weights to the 7.5.
Don and Susan are sending me a new breaker plate which I hope will smooth
things out.
I was thinking the hitch in my idle was a sticking carb. Maybe not.
