| I understand that my 1500 has a 3.889 diff ratio and 2000s have a 3.7 (as standard). Is there any merit in putting a 2000 diff in my 1500? What are the upsides and downsides of such as swap? (BTW, I have an R16 under the bonnet and a stock 1500 4 speed). My thinking in considering a diff swap from 3.889 to 3.7 is that I would achieve a faster speed (by about 5%) at any given rpm in any given gear, but is this correct? I'd be grateful for any advice.
