It's like there is no battery

All,

Here are the symptoms: Drove the car and it ran fine, went to go again
about 2 hours later NOTHING! I have nothing, no lights, wipers,
starting. It is just like there is no battery in the car. I switched
batteries just to make sure, did not help.

I checked the (-) to the frame and the (+) to the starter, both are o.k.
I checked the harness on back of the key and it is o.k.

any ideas?
