The other really dangerous one is loose clothing.  A buddy had an unbuttoned
shirt sleeve get caught in the fan belt of a running engine.  He kept the
arm but it never looked the same.

Yikes ! At least you still HAVE the finger. I've seen many a mechanic with 
ring-fingers missing from silly mishaps involving jewerly. Gold is such a 
good electrical conductor......

PS: does this mean he's married to the car now ?!?!?!
