Hello All,

A couple of weeks ago, I spotted an Auction for a 69 2000 on Yahoo that
seemed to be a very good deal. It was listed as no reserve and there was
some list interest in it. It climbed up to around 2500.00 or so and there
was some list comments that the high bidder was located right where the car
was being offered- in Eads Co. Turns out there was a good reason the high
bidder was in the same location as the car- it was the person offering the
car.

Well, the car is back again. I can only surmise that the seller bid on his
own car trying to get the bid price up? Now the add says the guy will take
3000.00 for it.

Is this legal? Can you advertise a no reserve auction and then not take the
highest bid by bidding on your own car? Sounds like fraud to me. Any legal
people on the list know the answer?
