I had a friend who bought another engine for his 240Z.
He later called me and said it used a lot of oil but the
compression test said it was ok. It would use 1 liter
every 100 km. (1/4 us gal./60 miles) It was later discovered
that the crankcase ventilation was connected by a hose
directly to the valve cover. The only way out for the
pressure was past the piston rings.
