When I first moved into our house the hallway was unlit, and there was a
nest of a Black Widow and her babies on a web. When I sprayed them they
seemed to ignore the spray and "SCATTERED" away from that web. I had many a
sleepless night wondering if they would assemble and attack for revenge.
Luckily for us they never did.
Scorpions:
I was sitting watching TV one night and one crawled up my leg, I guess for
the candy bar I was eating. I could'nt see what it was at first because it
was dark, and I swatted it off my leg. After scrambling for the lights and
finding it I beat it to death. Now we watch TV with all the lights on. If
you want to blame someone for the energy consumption, I'm guilty.
They also have a Rattlesnake here called a Mohave Green, or a Mohave Red.
These Rattlers have 3 different types of Venom for which they have no
antidote. They get quite large I understand. The only one of those I have
seen was behind glass at the Fish and Game dept. I did see a King snake
cross my front yard one day. They eat Rattlesnakes.
