That's what I did on my '70 Blondie. (The bolts, not the blue!) I've got 
fog lamps and they act as replacements for the missing overriders. Well, my 
daughter thinks so, when she backs her car up to my car. I just might put 
the overriders back onto that car (always on the street).

I bought 4 stainless carriage bolts about 1 inch long and polished them on 
a wheel and they look great (IMHO).   Now if I just hadn't painted the car 
that UGLY blue........ as it was referred to last week.
