One of these were found in Mexicali by a Swedish Porsche
specialist without engine and gearbox. He said he got it
for US$60.000 and sold it a week later for $120.000 to
somebody in Silicon Valley. The first one he found was
painted in Gulf Oil colours. The previous owners were
Gerard Larousse and Jo Siffert. This car was found in
a garage in Paris. Another one was a stolen car that
nobody made a claim on. It was at an auction house
in Marseille for 16 years because nobody was interested
to buy it. It sometime pays off to look around. Ask the
guy who found a 1930's Auto Union Grand Prix car.
