question about removing the body

hi,

some of the pictures I have seen where a body resto is done shows the frame
with the engine and drive train mounted. can you pull the body off without
pulling the engine and then install it with the engine already mounted? I
have an early 67 1600. I don't really need to pull the body off but was just
curious.
