Nothing complicated. Smack the botton with a ball peen hammer :)
I tried it on a set of used BJs and it worked. I placed the BJs in a vice
but I didn't tighten it up. I opened it up enough for the BJ stud to wiggle
around and so that the boot retaining ring was flush with the jaws. After
getting a good seating I smacked the bottom with a ball peen hammer.
No idea how long it will last as I never used them.

PS - It pays to have a nice big vice!!!! One of the best investments I ever
