On a recent find today I found a person selling some Roadsters, This person
had 2 1969 2 Liters, 1 1969 1600, and 1 1965 1500. All of these cars have been
sitting for a number of years. Here are the conditions:
1. 69-2000 He was able to get it to start with some starter fluid and oil,
engine should still be gone thru after sitting for a long time, original softop
and frame is there, All the chrome is present on the car, interior is
wheathered, has a hardtop also on the car. Owner switched out old ratty Dash
for a
flat dash that has kind of been placed in there. Bumpers and chrome look to be
in
decent shape.
2. 69-1600 Body is very rusted, Original Softop and Frame are with the car,
Bumpers are in good shape, Body is very rusted with numerous pit holes, Engine
is complete, many of the gauges are missing, and dash looks kinda ratty, same
with interior kind of ratty, but car could be made to run. Original Softop and
Frame are with the Car
3. 69-2000 Body looks to be in very good shape, interior is also in pretty
decent shape, Car looks like it can be easily restored, Engine and Transmission
are out of the Car, engine bay looks clean, no rust on this car. Car also has
a hartop and original softop and frame for the car. Best candidate for
restoration.
4. 65-1500 Vin # SPL310-034390, body looks to be Ok, Dash is all there
although much of the chrome has some serious pitting including the windshield
frame,
and chrome around Ashtray, bumpers look pretty straight, engine looks to be
all there, as if car has been sitting for long time, Glass on interior guages
all broken they probably need to be replaced, this car is a 2 seater, Original
Frame and Top are with car, original 13" wheels are on the car, only saw 2
hubcaps though.
Other Stuff: Owner also has numerous other parts new and old sitting in
storage with the cars, he has another 1600 engine, various mechanincal parts,
trim
pieces, gauges etc. that he is willing to throw into the mix.
Original asking price was $2500 for everything, give him a call I think he
will take $2000 because he needs to get rid of the stuff, because he sold the
house where many of the items are located at. This is located in Visalia,
