Alvin, thanks for the invite! Fun day for me and Annie, especially
seeing our roadster buddies. First for us, this car show in an
underground garage (what was it, a couple hundred cars?), with DJ's and
hottie models. Nice going topside and checking out the Japanese stores
and eateries. Great pictures of the cars. Don't discount your car, it
looks awesome and had just as many lookers as Dan - although Dan did
have an edge letting the pretty gals sit in the 1500's 3rd seat.

The only downside is my engine was stumbling under load. Was scratching
my head on that one, and worried because I didn't carry any tools or
spare parts (save that for long trips). Leaving the garage, it only got
worse. Leaving the Marina picture site, I was worried about making it
home. Annie starts saying to fill the gas tank, maybe I'm out of gas,
because I was nearly on empty. Nah, I say, I have enough gas to get
home. But it was cutting out and sputtering on the freeway. Halfway home
I gave in to her worries, and filled up the tank.

After a few minutes the engine perked up and cleared it's sinuses. Damn,
don't ignore a woman's advice, even if you think you know more about
engines! Now I realize that I had bad gas in the tank from wherever I
bought it last, plus it's been sitting a few months. The engine's
running fine now, but I'll probably check for water moisture and
sediment in the tank.

Datsuns rock! Datsun people rock!

The J-town show was packed with all kinds of cars and we represented
with 6
roadsters, 1 240Z, a 510 and and Arlen Ness chopper :)

The show had lots of forced induction, JDM rims, bling, sleepers,
exotics,
etc.

We left the show early to enjoy the sun and take some pictures by the
Golden
Gate Bridge...though I am not city-savvy we all managed to make it to
the
park and the pictures are nice!

Highlights for me: it's a toss-up between Rob's RB-powerd 240Z and Dan's

1500...both stunning cars to look at and see on the road. Driving out of
the show early, 7 Datsuns strong with everyone ooing and
aahing was also pretty high on my list :D

On the way home we came across a wicked exotic sportscar, I have no idea

what it was but check the pics!

I have a few videos, Matt and Fred/Annie on the freeway, Luke on his
chopper, and the 240z.

I want to thank you all for making the trip out to the city in the cold
morning and coming together in general. It was certainly a pleasure to
see
all of you. What a day!!!

ps Thanks for the Silvia model Eric, I'll add it to the cue!!! Pics
