Mark,

Congrats on finally getting back on the road. Sure hope it don't take me 10
years! <g>

Tire sizes and/or wheels have been covered numerous times here and on the
311s.org website (there's a Technical Info section, too).

I have 185/70/14's on the stock steel wheels on my '66 1600. Fit fine with
plenty of room. Someday hope to put on Panasports and 195/60's.

Cheers.

I have a '67 = 2000 that I recently put back on the road after 10 years in
the garage. It has standard steel wheels (5.24 x 14 I think that's the
nomenclature). Currently I have 165/70/14 Michelin's on it (very old) that
must be replaced. The local tire houses must special order this size (if
they have them at all). They of course want to sell my 185/70/14's. Will
185/70/14's fit? I seem to remember that the 185's would rub the fenders
without some modification. Where do you all buy your tires? If I upgrade
to
alloy wheels/tires what sizes will fit. Thanks for the help.
