Yes, I remembered your ingenious swap, but it involved cutting 'n' welding,
which is why I qualified my post with "...will bolt up without too much
trouble..."

Ummm....Sort of.

IF you can find a diesel p/u transmission, you can bolt the bellhousing to
the 200SX/260Z/280Z/Pickup 5spds, and then bolt it to your engine. Other
minor mods may be required to fit it in your car. There are at least two
variations of the transmission tho so be sure of what you get. Bearing sizes
are also a point to watch.

OR use the diesel transmission, and swap the gears in from another
transmission to get the ratios you want. (the diesel has an extremely low 1
st gear)

I modded the bellhousing to fit a '90 240SX 5 spd. Required some
'modification' of the frame (cut and weld) as well as a shortened
driveshaft. Also had the OD switched from a .759 to a .833 to be more
freindly to my 1.8 stroker.

Easiest by far is to put in a roadster 5 spd.
