I ordered a new '72 gremlin x as senior in high school, 3speed manual, trans
am red, 4.2litre 6, (dad wouldn't let me get the 5litre v8 due to my age and
insurance). I ordered the heavy duty brakes, the magazines said that option
gave the Gremlin stopping performance of a contemporary Porsche 911. At an
autocross, i think it was the one i blew up the Gremlin's clutch, I saw a
Datsun 2000 for the first time. The Gremlin was replaced with a B210 coupe in
'74. The 2000 I have now, I bought in '80.
