The brother of our very own John Lye works in a foundry in New England. He
has expressed some interest in looking into repro Lotus Twin cam
heads....You can currently purchase a brand new, made in england, T/C head
complete with CNC ports and improved flow. A cool $3700. The
valves/springs/cups/shims are, of course, extra.

Well, Chip, I know where I could borrow an alloy eight-port Spitfire 1147
head or two, and the matching Weber carb. intake manifolds. Wonder what
THAT little replication would cost?
