Took ours to the radiator shop and had it circumcised  :-)  It is just a
stub of a thing, now.

Early TR4 with long neck and didnt need all that moment arm filled with
vibrating water. Cracked it at the Chicago Historics in 94...used JB Weld
and saved the weekend.

        I did that with a steel one years ago, and got in the habit of
        using two hands when putting on the radiator cap - one underneath
        the neck to support it, and one on the cap itself.
