I used to put a little castro R in the gas tank of my cafe racer
motorcycle to get that great smell. No, it wasn't a two stroke--there
was no function other than smell. So even if there's a nefarious plot
afoot we can defeat it easily--all you need is about two teaspoons in a
five gallon tank for a delightful castor miasma.

What's with this Castrol R thread?

I know who started this, but I'm suspicious about his motive.

First we debated vintage appearance, then vintage history, then some
twit suggested vintage air extracted from junkyard tires -- is there
skullduggery in the offing?

Is someone SLIPPERY trying to corner the market on Castrol R, get the
rules changed to require vintage smell, and finance a budding racing
career by being the only source?

(...and does it leak more slowly out of Triumphs?)
