gear set, the factory offered 2 options.

The first option was the STN52 gearset, used by many TR racers.

The second option, however, is meant to be used only with O/D,
and has far less suitable ratios. (both options were intended
for rally use)

The Sprint (not the regular Dolomites) used a TR6 gearbox, and this
required a spacer to make the TR6 bell housing fit to the rear of the
TR7 block; thus the longer input shaft.

I would strongly advise checking the in/out revs before buying this, 
as this might be a turkey to outlast tomorrow!
