Hopefully someone on this list can help Terry? Reply directly to him
(copy this list if you think others here would be interested -- which
some of us might be).

Thanks in advance.

From: Terry & Cindy O'Beirne <esp@hypermax.net.au>

I am looking at converting my Mk1 GT6 historic racer from fixed to swing
spring and adding a rear anti-roll bar & possibly a thicker front bar.

I would like to compute what combination of leaves and spring set is
necessary to get the correct racing ride and bump rate. To do this I
need factory data on spring rates which i cant seem to find anywhere.
Does it exist???

Also, I would like comment from anyone else who has done this, and
particualrly the merits (or otherwise), of using the wider track as on
some Mk3 GT6 $ all Spit 1500.

I am assuming at this stage that I can transfer (add) the pivoting
leaves from a Mk3 set-up to a Mk1 main leaf, and thus not change the
rear track.

I have however, had some comments that a combination swing
spring/rotoflex has been used with some success and would again be
greatful for any experiences.

Some of this may show my ignorance, but whilst I have spent many,
years racing TR's and 2500 sedans, this is my first foray into racing
what is a very unusual car here in Australia

I hope my ignorance can be excused and some info/help will be
forthcoming from those with much more experience in this car
