I note from the list re VTR directions you've got 'Worcester' pronounced
right. I recently had a phone call from a pal in the states who wanted some
proper 'Wor-ses-stershire' sauce. I pointed out to him that it's pronounced
'Wustersheer' (correct spelling Worcestershire). He then said the Worcester
sauce he bought in the States didn't taste the same as that we provided for
his bacon and eggs whilst he was over here in England.
For the sake of the FOTer technical archives and 'paddock' cuisine; there
are many cheap n' nasty imitations just labeled 'Worcester Sauce', but the
real Worcester sauce is called "LEA AND PERRINS." and it says on the bottle
"By appointment to Her Majesty the Queen."
