We rented a video this weekend titled:

James Dean: Live Fast, Die Young

Produced by MARS Production in 1997. The movie
featured some racing (recreated) which included a
Small Mouth TR-3. The TR-3 was red and had a
#198 on the door plus a BFE Racing decal (with a
yellow lightning bolt through it) on the lower front
fender just forward of the door. The roll bar was
very narrow in width (maybe 2.5 feet) and considerable
higher than the stock windshield which was on the car.

Anyone on the left coast have any idea as to who owns
the car. The small mouth three was an anachronism
since Dean was killed in 1955 before the small-mouth
three came out. There was also an MGA in
the racing (blue) which couldn't have been the case.
Og well, so much for Hollywood accuracy.

For those that might be disturbed by the wrecked
Porsche Spyder at the end, the opening credits included
the following: "Kustom Spyder Race Car by George Barris."
I guess they used a Kit Car thankfully.

Not a bad flick as they say.

Cheers,
