I know nothing of this controversy -- but I find it wonderful that in today's
rather crass world there are still those who can turn a fine phrase and cast a
gentlemanly insult. These are talents of which we Yanks are a little shy. We
probably would have called him a "dirty rotten lying sumbag of a weasel" or
something like that.
Keep the historical stuff coming, you guys. Also the wonderful prose. We need
the education.
