FYI, I received a call from a lurker on our FOT list this AM. He races a TR6
in SCCA.
He purchased a close ratio gearset from Moss previously, and had the gears
installed in a TR6 gearbox by a well respected TR specialist. He says he had
severe problems with backlash, which made the use of the gearbox with the
Moss CR gearsets less than ideal. He is currently using a gearbox set up
with the CR gears offered by Quaife. BTW, he also mentioned to me that the
23 splined input shaft is a Ford part.
I have asked him to post his experiences with this gearset to the list. He
mentioned a number of technical things in our discussion that I am too
uneducated about to understand.
