Wow! the Shell 4000 was one that I watched closely, from afar, in my mispent
youth. Bring on the stories!
I stayed with a guy in Minneapolis who drove a borrowed VW, rolled it down
the side of mountain, passed the tech the next day, and finished the rally.
He never mentioned what occurred with the owner of the VW.
Just returned from 5500 mile "rallye" moments ago, but it was the southern
route.
