Where did it all start?
My grandfather had "I'd rather push my Ford than drive a Chevy" on his 1940
Union Oil Tow truck". ....neatly handpainted on the push bar. And later on
his 1949 F-1 forestry truck. And later on the glass of his 1957 Police
Interceptor powered wagon.
My Dad had it on his 70's Super Van and I had it on each of the Mustangs I
ran in SOLO II for 8 years.
I'd dare say it goes further back than that (Franklin's ever have a rival? or
Riley's?) but that's my bid for 'the beginning'. Anyone else remember when???
...... the more things change....etc.
