Louvred Bonnets/Hoods.

I am just looking at bird's eye view picture of the works' TR driven by
Ken Richardson at Jabbeke, MVC 575 - it did not have heat extraction
bonnet louvres. The car was permitted to run with full cockpit tonneau
cover and body under-shield, both of which naturally aided its
aerodynamic properties. The build up of under-bonnet heat on such a short
run in both directions on the Dutch motorway was considered not to be
detrimental to the performance of the car. Ken did remove the normal
driver's seat cushion and replaced it with a slimmer domestic' form of
cushion to get his body lower in the cockpit out of the air stream.

Paul Richardson has asked me to pen this message on his behalf, due to his
computer going on the blink'...should be fixed by the end of the week.

Happy and successful New Year to you all
