4-Speed Ford "Rocket" gearbox

Has anyone tried to shoehorn one of these in a Triumph?  Quaife has their 
version of this box for $1325 and it appears that the shorter version of
this box will physically fit in a Spitfire, I am wondering about the other 
issues like input shaft, adapting the bell housing and mounts.

Any input will be appreciated.
