More of the story!
Actually, after the first couple of events, when the Peyote MKII Special ran
the legs off all of the Ferrari Testarosa entrants, I thought little of them
again (until coming up against Pete Lovely in his Formula 2 Testarosa bodied
beauty. Then he ran my legs off (to say nothing of the rest of my anatomy.
I always did enjoy the visits in the paddock, when a Ferrari guy or Lotus
Lover or Porschephile would come by after the race and inquire (as Bill has
enjoyed) "Wotisit?" "Triumph! Backyard special. Just a TR 3 under that
unique, hand-formed, aluminum skin". "Nothing special. Just a junk-yard
dog that can strike terror in the heart of any well-pedigreed puppy, as you
just witnessed!!"
Ah, sometimes I do miss it.
As I said, Bill is gonna have fun next weekend!

Bill

A red ferrari flag at Monterey is like a Triumph shirt at the VTR
convention. I suggest that you fly the Minnesota State flag in honor of its
State of manufacturer if you want someone to find you.

Besides it help avoid the embarrassing question "What type of Ferrari is
that mister?"

I assume that you have placed appropriate decals on the side noting that
it was manufactured in Lake Wobegon, body parts supplied by Ralphs Pretty
Good grocery, and serviced at Bob's Garage. I noticed that Baxter had omitted
these when he was running the car.

Smile, Cary
