I can't say about the TR-6 but likely it is different.  The Spit and GT6 share 
some commonality in regards to sway bars.

The early Spits (Mk1 through Mk3) use a 5/8" bar as does the Mk1 GT6 and other 
models with Rotoflex suspension.

The later Spits and the GT6's with the Swing Spring all use a 7/8" sway bar.
