The purpose of this project is to simply develop as comprehensive a
list of Triumph racers as possible for invitations to the Mid Ohio 2002
event. It requires someone to look at perhaps two issues of each year of
Sportscar to identify racers appearing in the national runoffs and/or the
year region champions/point leaders.
What is simply needed is the persons name, year, class, regional of
championship/point total or final runoff placement, SCCA race class, and type
of Triumph.
Once done, maybe this is something that VTR would be interested in
publishing and circulating in a newsletter. Maybe BMW will see it, realize
their is a real racing heritage there, and introduce a new sportscar for us.
Although there would be some irony to a German firm producing a new Spitfire.
Any volunteers....I know that playing Grand Trusmiso 3 on your Sony
Playstation 2 would probably be your first choice for a rainy day.
