Don,
I lost two sets at about that regularity until i got the flange dead true. 
Now the same gasket has been used for two years....and reused after I have 
had the head off twice. 

Goop is a "maybe fix" at best... and a lot of work if it blows out again. 

I'd get the surface flat and then start with a new gasket.
