Sad to report the same issue suggests BOB AKIN's condition was improving
after a terrible accident last Thursday prior to the MITTY vintage event.
BOB passed away Monday evening. The incident involved two GTP cars, both
being driven by professional drivers. One tapped the other while overtaking,
with catastrophic results. Then the fact that the incident happened on
Thursday, there was a light turnout of workers. Other competitors actually
got BOB AKIN out of the car. There was lots of fire. It was not pretty.
Our sport is NOT to be taken lightly.
