Hi Mark,

Yes, at one time a group of us TR guys made up some special billet hubs and
remanufactured some axles to match. They worked for a while and then we
started having problems again.

Our fix now is semi floating arrangement that is supplied by Southwick
Machine somewhere in IL or IA. They guy who ramrodded this project is Jack
Drews and I will copy him on this email so you have his address. I think
Bob Southwick might have a couple available or if not he can make them up.
We use the same TR dif, but the axle/hub is a one piece affair. It's been a
couple years now and they seem to be working fine with no failures.

Most of us who race our TRs pretty hard have all gone to the Southwick
setup. One of my buddies who hadn't made the switch yet was just in front
of me at Mid Ohio last year and I got a first hand experience watching when
a axle/hub breaks (the car rolled!) If you don't need the whole axle/hub
assembly, someone on our FOT (Friends of Triumph) might have a couple of the
billet hubs available. It was an improvement over the stock ones for sure
and with your FJ you might not need the full fix.

Maybe Jack can comment on this. I will also copy the FOT list with your
question.
