Bill, I think your problem is that 1:46 is not the same as 1.46.  The :46
indicates 46 seconds, so the lap time in minutes is 1 + 46/60 or ~1.767
minutes.

2.54 miles in 1.767 minutes is 2.54/1.76 or ~1.438 miles per minute, which
is ~86.264 mph.

No idea where Henry got 84.666, but when I try that web site, it agrees with
me.
