Amen to that !

And don't forget that kinetic energy goes up with the square of speed.  Just
driving 70 instead of 50 means your brakes have to absorb twice as much heat
to get you stopped.

Not tried towing anything but an empty car carrier yet, but I'm hoping my
Buick Roadmaster wagon will make an adequate tow vehicle.  Car alone weighs
over 5000 lbs, and the brakes haul down fast and straight from over 100 mph.
And I expect the LT1 350 will go uphill pretty good too.  Best of all (IMO)
it will outcorner any SUV on the planet, and still get 25 mpg running solo
at 75 mph.  Also legally seats 8, although the third seat is best left to
teenagers.
