My only problem with Castrol Syntec, is that it's a partial synthetic, not a
full synthetic. Local garages sell it as synthetic, which may account for
the brisk sales, as it's a lot less expensive than full synthetic.
Prime example - My mother in law, who thinks I don't have time to change her
oil (bless her heart) and pays to have it done, requested (at my prodding) a
Mobil 1 full synthetic oil change, but ended up with Syntec. She was
convinced, and argued with me, that she did get a full synthetic oil.
